Something we often hear in a first meeting

Not the technical challenges — the real ones, the ones that keep you up at night.

"
I have money sitting idle in my company and I don't know what to do with it.

Cash is accumulating in the company, but every decision — paying out dividends, investing in the company, placing investments, buying back shares — has tax implications that no one has taken the time to explain clearly to you.

Corporate liquidity
"
My accountant handles my taxes, my broker handles my investments, and nobody talks to each other.

Everyone works in their own silo. The result: decisions made piecemeal, missed opportunities, and you having to translate between your professionals.

Professional silos
"
If I get sick tomorrow, I'm not sure my family and my business will survive.

Outdated or missing purchase and sale agreement, key person insurance never reviewed, will predating incorporation, no "Plan B" documentation. Improvisation in a crisis is the default scenario.

Protection absent
"
I generate a lot of income, but I don't feel like I'm really building my personal wealth.

Your personal finances come second to those of the company. No optimal compensation strategy, no structured retirement plan, no clarity on what you have actually accumulated — apart from the theoretical value of your company.

vague heritage

A unified financial strategy, not a collection of products

We don't sell siloed solutions. We build a coherent financial architecture where each piece — corporate, personal, family — reinforces the others.

Integrated corporate and personal architecture

We analyze your structure (Inc., management company, trust) as a whole, with your accountant and tax advisor, to optimize the flow of dollars between your business and you: salary/dividend compensation, excess cash management, passive income, capital dividend accounts, capital gains deduction.

Owner-manager retirement

You don't have an employer pension plan — you are your own pension fund. RIP, RPDB. TFSA Corporate, corporate vs personal investments: we build a retirement strategy that takes advantage of all the levers that an employee does not have access to.

Asset protection and business continuity

Key person insurance, insurance-backed purchase-sale agreement, overhead expense insurance, extended disability insurance, life insurance Corporate with buyback value. We build a safety net that protects your family, your business, and your partners.

Coordinated corporate and personal investments

Corporate and personal portfolios (RRSP, TFSA, unregistered) and family (RESPtrusts) thought of together, with a planned 20-30 year tax withdrawal strategy — not just an annual return.

Succession and transition

Whether you are aiming for a sale to a third party, a family transfer or a gradual exit, we put in place the structures (estate freeze, trust, agreement) 10 to 15 years before the event — because a good transition is prepared well in advance.

How we work together

1

Introductory meeting — free of charge, no obligation

A conversation to understand your business, your family, your goals. No sales pitch, no sales pitch. You'll leave with a clearer understanding.

2

Integrated Financial Portrait

We analyze your corporate structure, protections, investments, and tax planning as an ecosystem. We identify disconnections, risks, and opportunities.

3

Strategic plan presented in plain language

The recommendations are quantified, prioritized, and most importantly: explained. You understand why before you understand what.

4

Coordination with your other professionals

We speak directly to your accountant, your lawyer, your tax advisor. You no longer have to do the translation — or the follow-up.

5

Annual review and adjustments

Your business evolves, your family evolves, the tax system evolves. We adjust the strategy every year, and immediately in the event of major events — acquisition, departure of a partner, birth, separation.

Answers for entrepreneurs

Do you work with my current accountant?

Yes, and it's even essential to our approach. We believe that a good financial advisor doesn't replace your accountant or tax specialist—they coordinate them. In most cases, we become the central point of contact, facilitating communication between your professionals.

I don't like the idea of "selling insurance." Are you an insurance salesman?

We are, first and foremost, financial strategists. Insurance is one tool among many—powerful in some contexts (purchase agreement, corporate life insurance as an investment, key person insurance), unnecessary in others. We only recommend a product if it solves a problem you genuinely have.

What is the minimum company size for your services?

We don't have a formal minimum. However, we do have a philosophy: we take the time to do things right. In practical terms, our entrepreneurial clients typically generate over $200,000 in annual corporate revenue and view their financial strategy as an investment, not an expense.

How often do we meet?

A minimum of one full annual review. In practice, 3 to 5 times a year for the majority of our clients — more often during significant events (acquisition, refinancing, family change).

How are you paid?

We are compensated through commissions on financial products (investments, insurance) and, for certain complex mandates, through planning fees. Everything is always clearly disclosed from the first meeting.

Let's talk about your business — and what you want to do with it

An initial, free, and no-obligation conversation to see if our approach aligns with your needs. You'll leave with a clear understanding, even if you decide not to proceed further.
